WWW Wednesday is a meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. It’s very simple – answer the three questions and leave a link in Sam’s post.
The Three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next
What am I currently reading?
Anger is a Gift by Mark Oshiro – I just started this book, I’m on chapter 3, (which is page 34 according to my kindle app, but I don’t really trust it.) but so far I really like it. I’ve heard so many great things about it and saw so many rave reviews. I’ve heard this book gets very heavy and I’m looking forward to it.
The Disperitable History of Frankie Landau-Banks- E. Lockhart – To balance out the heaviness of the previous book, I’m reading this one. Again, I’m not far into it, but I love the voice and tone and I’m looking forward to it. I know very little about this book, but I trust E. Lockhart to bring me on a journey.
Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow – I’m about a quarter of the way through this one, and I know that it gets wild. Like, the story Farrow was investigating was incredibly important and has had a serious impact on culture and hopefully changes things in the future, but the story inside the story is wild and I look forward to listening to the rest of it.
What have I recently finished reading?
I have read not as many books as one would think I’ve read since I last did a WWW Wednesday in mid-October. I’m blaming NaNoWriMo.
His Hideous Heart edited by Dahlia Adler (Review)
Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater (Review)
Chase Darkness With Me by Billy Jensen (Review)
Queen of Nothing by Holly Black- The full review will be up on Monday, but in short, I loved it very much and thought it was a great conclusion to this series.
Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco – Full review soon. I enjoyed this one more than the first book, and look forward to the next two.
Again but Better by Christine Riccio- Full review to come, but I finally finished it, and I loved it. It started slow for me, but I really loved the premise. I have some thoughts about the execution of the whole book but I’ll get into that in the full review.
What do I plan on reading next?
I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver – I am very, very excited to read this book.
Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi – I am also very excited to listen to the next book in the Legacy of Orïsha series
The third book I plan on reading next, a biography of John Laurens, has a super boring cover, but when I bought it on Amazon it has this super helpful graphic:
I do not know if all books purchased for Kindle have this super helpful graphic, but it’s the first time I have ever seen it and it will always bee funny.
And that’s what the next couple weeks of reading look like as we wrap up 2019. I’m currently at 49 books for the year and my GoodReads goal is 50 is I think I’m going to make it.
What have you been reading lately?
Until next time Internet,
Deanna
That graphic is hilarious! I am so glad that you enjoyed The Queen of Everything. I have been really excited about it.
