I didn’t do as well this week as I have the rest of the month, but I’m still on track to win this thing.
I’m at a weird part of the story. I’m near the end of part 1, which will end with the due between Laurens and Charles Lee. Right now I’m writing the five months between the Battle of Monmouth where Laurens was seriously injured and the duel, but all I know about bullet wounds I know from the aftermath of the shooting of former Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz this summer and it’s shockingly unhelpful. I could google it, but I don’t want actually see any bullet wounds so I’m winging it.
I’m not really happy with what I’m writing and I know I’m going to cut quite a bit of what I’ve written this week, but I’m plowing through. I’ve been watching the Impeachment hearings which I think has kept my creative juices from flowing properly. Hopefully, next week will be better.
I should be 40K today or tomorrow, and then we’re in the final stretch.
Then comes December and so much editing.
How’s NaNo treating you?
