WWW Wednesday is a meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. It’s very simple – answer the three questions and leave a link in Sam’s post.
The Three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next
It’s been a minute since I did one of these. I’m going, to be honest, I haven’t been reading a much as I want to be reading but I’m doing my best to stay on track.
What am I currently Reading?
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli – I’m only two chapters in, but so far I’m really enjoying this. I’ve read Becky Albertalli’s two other solo books and I loved them. So I’m pretty sure I’m going to enjoy this one as well. I just have to sit down and get into it.
The Raven’s Tale by Cat Winters – This is a YA story about Edgar Allen Poe. I know I’m going to love it. It’s also an ARC that I haven’t started reading yet, because I’m a terrible person with a bunch of ARC’s that have now been released that I haven’t read yet. I haven’t started this yet, but I’m expecting to love it because of the writer and the subject matter.
What have I recently finished reading?
I recently finished listening to the Raven Cycle books. I’m in love with them all. I have reviews for the second and fourth book coming. (I read them too fast to know what happened in book 3 verse book 4 so I just wrote a review for book 4) I think I remember there being a lot of people talking about the books when the fourth one came out and I know I’m a little late on this train, but these are good books. I would start talking about how my I love them, but I won’t stop, so just trust me that they are brilliant.
What do I plan to read next?
An Assassin’s Guide to Love and Treason by Virginia Boecker-I’ve been stoked about this book since I first heard about it, and I’m pretty excited that it’s finally at the top of my physical TBR pile.
Again but Better by Christine Riccio- I have an ARC of this book that’s already on bookshelves. I’ve heard some mixed things, but I think it sounds interesting and I’m looking forward to reading it.
Duel with the Devil by Paul Collins – I’m actually not sure if this will be the book I listen to next, but I’m thinking about it. It’s a book about America’s first sensationalized murder trial in 1800. The murder of Elma Sands and the trial of Levi Weeks. Levi Weeks defense team consisted of a man with a stellar reputation who would use this trial to help propel him in a run for president and a man who not even 3 years before case, ruined his chances at a political future by writing approximately the weirdest/most gross thing I have read detailing his year-long affair with a 23-year-old married woman while he was a 35-year-old married father of 5 to prove he wasn’t embezzling from the government. Four years after this case, one of the lawyers shoots the other in New Jersey. There’s a musical about it.
And that’s what I’m reading this week, what are you reading?
Until next time internet,
